Today my Linux laptop went with me to a customer site. This enabled two Wi-Fi-situations away from home: Hotspot on my smartphone and a guest WiFi with captive portal.
Both scenarios worked, although I mistyped the password for one of the networks, and the error message was not very helpful. But after correcting that, all went smooth. I could watch an educational video on YouTube, listen to my Spotify playlist and keep track of my personal email.
There were 9 updates to the system, 72 MB worth of downloads. No reboot was required.
A couple of hours later there was another update of 300 KB, marked as ’security‘ which didn’t require a reboot either.
