Last night, Twitter brought the message I’ve been waiting for since I first thought about this experiment: Edge for Linux is available, albeit still in DEV channel only:
Everything looks and works the way it does on Windows. Contrary to the Chromium browser, this is not a ’snap‘ but a native install. And the most important feature is in there as well:
Other than that, it was a typical workday with little private computer usage. I chickened out and didn’t host the @psugbe meetup from my Linux box but will do so next time (which is planned for the 4th of November).
There were 12 updates to the system, worth 70 MB of download and not requiring a reboot:
