The workaround with a USB to USB-C adapter didn’t hold much longer than yesterday’s post. Shortly after I published it, the X server beneath the Plasma desktop crashed again and didn’t recover over several reboots, be it with or without dock.
I will try a different dock next week and raise it with DisplayLink if that doesn’t help.
Meanwhile, I will continue using the Linux laptop for everything that does not need a large screen or an external mouse. Like this blog post, for instance.
